What Women Want…You Time

28 January, 2015 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

spa-wellnessWith summer drawing to a close and the kids just about back at school, now’s your chance to grab a bit of ‘you’ time.
January is the time for summer sales, hit the shops to snap up marked down stock for great savings. The new season autumn clothes will soon start to appear in the shops and colours to look out for are black (of course), winter sun and alpine blue sitting alongside blazing orange and fir cone brown, all teamed back with matt or metallic.
For a truly indulgent treatment, head to Verde Spa in Forbes. Owned by Sophie Petropoulos, this environmentally friendly business is unique in its commitment to eco-friendly products (plus you always leave feeling fabulous.) I was given a voucher for Christmas and chose the Organic Body Cocoon Wrap Treatment. This treatment gives you a full body exfoliation to eliminate dead skin and stimulate the blood flow, leaving skin silky smooth and complexions glowing. After this a deeply moisturising mask is applied to your whole body, before you’re wrapped in a cocoon of foil which allows the products to soak deeply into the skin. I enjoyed a cleansing shower afterwards before being massaged with organise body butter and body oil. All products are organic and when I came out I felt like I was floating and very relaxed.
For any fans of E.L. James’s novel ’50 Shades of Grey’, the raunchy book is coming to the big screen in Orange in early February (just in time for Valentine’s Day). Popular among housewives the world over the trailer, which shows a glimpse of the exploits of Mr Grey and Miss Steele, looks good- but be wary! Perhaps not the best movie for a first date, and definitely not one to take your mum or grandmother to! Our next edition will feature a Valentine’s wish-list to point hubbies in the right direction, remember gents…happy wife, happy life!
