Pavers, Colours And Lanterns

29 October, 2014 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

paver path
It’s been a year in the making but Canowindra Preschool now has a new paver path! The path, which was transformed from a dirt trail into an artistic walkway, will provide a welcoming route from the gate to the steps to enter the preschool. Students past and present had the opportunity to purchase a paver with their families to make their own creative mark on the Pre-School path. Some students decided to draw pictures, other wrote their names and some have family names on, giving the path a personal touch.
The outside play area has also had a makeover thanks to some handy preschool mums and dads. The area is now adorned with bright coloured fences and a larger chook yard. The chook yard is the new home for the baby chicks the kids watched hatch and then cared for inside the school until they were big enough to enter their new outside home. New plants and a good tidy up have the playground ready to use in the Spring and Summer months.
The kids of the Preschool have also been busy getting involved in the Light The Night which took place over the weekend. They made lanterns to help raise awareness and funds for the Leukaemia Foundation and they did a fantastic job! With only seven weeks of term left the Preschool have a lot to look forward to, from photos and working on their portfolios to performing at the Christmas Concert. 45 kids will be graduating and heading off to big school, so it’s set to be a busy end to the year! Enrolments are now open for 2015, any enquires call 63441261 or email admin@canowindrapreschool.com
