Women’s Bowls

15 October, 2014 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Bobbie Turner, Jill Messenger & Shirley Robson attended Orange Newstead Gala Day on Thursday 9th October and enjoyed the day despite being defeated by a Millthorpe team 18-17.
Sheryn O’Malveney wishes to thank all the ladies who assisted in any way for the Dot Newcombe Wake held at the Bowling Club on Wednesday 8th October. Sheryn is a great organiser ably assisted by two great workers Ellen Petty & Radka Tatterson. Others who assisted were Moyna Rue, Dianne Mooney, Libby Balcombe, Jenny Middleton & Shirley Robson.
Daph Bryant, Moyna Rue & Gwen Haydon competed in the Denman Triples Carnival held on 10th/11th & 12th October. They won four of their five games and all thoroughly enjoyed their time in Denman.
Many thanks to Radka Tatterson, Jenny Middleton, Sandy McDonald & Bobbie Turner who catered for the Men’s club President’s Day held on Sunday 12th October.
Big congratulations to Danielle Jenkins and Jessica Jenkins for graduating from Canberra University last week. Your grandmother Nancy Morrow is very proud of you both.
