Come Alive At Twilight…

15 October, 2014 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

The Twilight Markets, hosted by the Canowindra@home team, are coming to town once more and this year’s set to be the best yet. The concept was born six years ago when Michelle Porter, Marg Wallington, Trudi Weyman and Helen Tinney began discussing how best to showcase local food and wines. Their philosophy stemmed around the 100 mile message of trying to use local produce within a 100 mile radius whenever possible. This time around the stalls will be chock full of home grown products including olives, figs, spring lamb, sweet treats and our favourite market wood-fired pizzas. There will also be face painting to keep the little ones entertained.
The programme of music for the events includes Josh Maynard, a talented teen with a passion for music, Nerida Cuddy and exciting new talent Julie Bates. Organiser Michelle is excited with the line-up this year, “We’ve got three quality entertainers, great food where the price won’t break the bank and beautiful decorations. We love showcasing this in Canowindra because Cano’s a good place to be…its going somewhere.”
This small community event is sure to draw big crowds so make sure you get your spot on the grass, mellow out and enjoy this musical afternoon.
