The Semi-Final of the O’Brien Cup on Saturday saw R Traves defeat B Webb 152-118 and the Final on Sunday saw R Traves getting a lesson in draw bowls with Dool winning 152-113.
On Saturday night a special birthday party was held for a bowlers wife, which went on to the early hours of the morning. Without mentioning names, once the party had died down the host went home with his wife and decided he needed to visit the toilet before bedtime. Once inside he found him holding onto the towel rail, which he had been pulling thinking it was the door handle. The towel rail subsequently had detached itself from the wall. No names mentioned but at the club this man is known as the wog.
