We were blessed with perfect weather for the Canowindra Women’s Bowls annual Presidents Day on Tuesday 27 October.
It was very well attended and enjoyed by all. Visiting teams came from Cowra, Bathurst/Majellan, Forbes, Parkes, Manildra and Molong. Together with six teams from Canowindra, it was a full green.
It was a fun day which started with a devonshire morning tea followed by a 3-spider bowl before our games commenced.
The winners of the day, chosen by a draw, were both Manildra and one of the Canowindra teams. The money tree prize went to Moyna and 5 lucky ladies won lucky door prizes. It was voted that proceeds would be donated to “Little Wings”.
Thank you so much to our greenkeeper and all those who helped with organising team selection, raffles, setting-up, catering and cleaning. Special thanks to our girls Sharyn and Therese for the delicious lunch provided.
