A highlight of the bowls this week was the pink twilight bowls on Friday. A total of 26 players turned out for a great family fun night, raising funds for breast cancer. Final results will be released next week. Special thanks to Lisa, Tracey and Ellie for organising the event. Also thanks for the many donations from local business houses and supporters.
On Sunday 25 October we had two consistency matches. Corey and Keith did battle, with Keith holding onto his handicap lead throughout the game and going on to win in strong performance 151/124.
Teddy played Ben in the other game and it was a nail biter. The match commenced with both players even on handicap. Ben moved out to slender lead on many occasions only for Teddy to peg it back to nearly even. Ben scored a 7/3 to lead 148/142 making it difficult for Teddy to snatch victory, both players scored 5/5 on the last end for the final score 153/147.
Next week Greg and Tony play off and Tim versus Marc on Friday evening.
Mix pair nominations close on 26 October and the first round will be played on Wednesday 4 November, 6pm start.
Thanks for all the helpers in getting the club operational on Sunday, it was well received by all members and visitors.
