Canowindra RSL sub-Branch will commemorate Remembrance Day with a service in Memorial Park on 11 November 2026. The service will commence at 10:40am with a short address by members of Canowindra High School followed by the laying of wreaths and the Ode of Remembrance.
A period of silence will be observed at 11.00am.
Remembrance Day is held annually on the anniversary of the day and time when the Armistice of 1918, that ended fighting in World War I, came into effect. Remembrance Day is a time to acknowledge those who died or suffered while serving in wars, conflicts and peace operations.
Members of the public are invited to attend or pause wherever you are at 11.00am to reflect on the service and sacrifice of current members of the Australian Defence Force and the more than 102,000 Australians who have given their lives along with the millions of families impacted by their loved one’s service.
Canowindra RSL sub-Branch will be fundraising outside Lawrence’s IGA on Friday 6 November 9am – 3:30pm. There will be a selection of commemorative memorabilia for sale. Donations are gratefully accepted and can be made there or online to BSB 325 185, account 41019839.
