Canowindra Pony Club will be holding a Come & try day on Sunday 29 November.
Canowindra Pony Club is inviting local families and young horse enthusiasts to discover what Pony Club is all about at its upcoming Come & Try Day on Sunday, 29 November 2026, at the Canowindra Showground.
The day will commence at 9.30am for a 10am start and is aimed at encouraging new memberships while giving children and families an opportunity to experience the fun, friendships and learning opportunities that Pony Club has to offer.
Pony Club is about much more than riding. It provides young people with opportunities to develop confidence, responsibility, teamwork and valuable horsemanship skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet club members and volunteers, learn about regular rally days and competitions, and experience a range of Pony Club activities.
Children wishing to participate in mounted activities will need to bring their own horse or pony. However, families without horses are equally welcome to come along, watch the activities and discover what being part of Pony Club involves.
A small fee is payable to Pony Club NSW for insurance purposes for those participating, and all participants must register through the Pony Club NSW JustGo platform prior to the event.
The club hopes the day will encourage more local families to become involved and help foster the next generation of young riders in the Canowindra district.
You can register for the event at: https://share.google/sOBX4FimTjpxiKpZd.
Please direct any enquiries to Kylie Reeves 0427 448 371. There will also be a BBQ lunch provided.
Canowindra Pony Club warmly welcomes everyone to come along and see what Pony Club is all about.
