The Minns Labor Government’s mobile high-tech ag learning bus has clocked up more than 10,000km since hitting the road in February this year, visiting towns across NSW promoting state of the art agricultural innovation directly to farmers.
Almost 1,200 people have experienced the virtual reality tech as well as demonstration Agtech and connectivity solutions on the bus.
Minister for Agriculture Tara Moriarty said:
“From the Riverina to the Northern Rivers and everywhere in between, the Mobile Learning Centre is taking real-life, cuttingedge agricultural technology directly to farming communities across NSW.”
The Farms of the Future Mobile Learning Centre, built into a customised Volvo B12 bus, is taking agricultural innovation directly to regional communities, helping farmers embrace the new technologies shaping the future of farming.
The learning bus provides producers with hands-on access to cutting-edge Agtech and connectivity solutions through live demonstrations, practical workshops and expert advice.
Visitors get to experience firsthand how latest tech such as water tank and trough monitors, soil moisture probes, virtual fencing collars, in-paddock weighing systems, weather stations and connectivity solutions can improve productivity, strengthen farm resilience and unlock new opportunities for their businesses.
The Mobile Learning Centre is still on the road with stops planned between now and the end of the year at:
• Australian National Field Days in Orange – 22 – 24 Oct
• Agtech Discovery Day, Orange, 5 Nov
• Agtech Discovery Day, Cowra, 19
Nov Grower and producer groups, schools, and community organisations can register their interest in hosting the Mobile Learning Centre on the NSW DPIRD website.
