We were able to play two consistency game on Sunday. Tim battled hard to overcome Harry as the early part of the match was very close.Tim finally put a few ends together to go onto a good win. Well done to Harry for playing and completing the match.
In the other match, Ben and Dool did battle and what a game it turned out to be.
There was very little in the scores early, with both players trying to get an advantage.Midway through the match Ben held a good advantage on the scoreboard. Dool, not to be outdone, fought back gamely but couldn’t bridge the gap and Ben went on to win in what could signal a warning to rest of the competition – he could be the one to beat.
The Men’s Bowling Club will be cooking the BBQ for the Sunday Session, and will need a few helpers on the day. Michael Wynn will be entertaining our guests and members from 4pm.
Michael has performed previously at the club and it was a great success, with everyone enjoying his performance. We also have our usual meat raffles that will be drawn after the entertainment is completed at 7pm.
The football will be on the big screen in the hall for all ours guests following music and meat tray draws. There will also be drinks promotions on the day, check the club for details .
On Monday we have social bowls at 1pm and a bbq to follow after the bowls. If numbers permit there will be prizes for the best on day. Charge will be $10 per head.
Nominations for the board are behind the bar, just ask staff and return to put in the box. Nominations close soon.
The AGM is on 18 October and financial statements will be available soon.
Games are being organised this week and they will on the notice board.
Badge draws for this week are Wednesday $600, Friday $800 and Sunday $350.
