Our members seem to be growing, as we had 19 knitters on 27 August, with everyone working hard to complete their wraps.
We have reached 81 wraps so far this year, with September, October and November to go before we take a break. This looks as though we will reach that 100 wrap target this year. Congratulations to everyone on your efforts so far.
If you can knit or crochet and would like to join an interesting group, remember we meet every fourth Thursday of the month, February to November, so feel free to come along and see us all at work.
We recently received a Wrap With Love Annual Bulletin filled with reports on the activities from many groups around New South Wales. Canowindra was mentioned in the Orange report, as our wraps go to Orange, where they are then passed on to headquarters in Sydney. The Bulletin, also advised 21,405 wraps were sent overseas this year, and the grand total since Wrap With Love started in 1992 is 658,487.
This is a very good effort – that could be better. You don’t have to knit an enitre wrap, if you are able to knit a square, it can be joined to others to make a wrap. Thanks to all those who are working hard and providing some wool.
