National Listening Tour To Hear Veterans’ Concerns

Shadow Minister for Veterans’ Affairs Michael McCormack will travel to every State and Territory across Australia, over the next fortnight, to hear directly from Veterans, ex-service organisations, advocates and community groups about the proposed $5,000 cap on allied health services.

The nationwide listening tour will provide Veterans with an opportunity to share their experiences, concerns and recommendations, ensuring their voices are heard.

Mr McCormack said Veterans had earned the right to be listened to and respected. “Rather than making decisions from Canberra, we want to hear directly from those whose lives will be affected. The Government refuses to listen … these Veterans need to be heard and we will do that.”

Mr McCormack said the feedback gathered would help inform future advocacy on behalf of the Veteran community.
