The exhibits in the Cobley Pavilion are always a feature of the annual Canowindra Show.
Showtime is fast approaching, with the 2026 Canowindra Show to be held on 25 and 26 September.
In the lead up to the show, The Cobley Pavilion sections will be posted regularly in Canowindra Phoenix, Canowindra+99kms, Canowindra-ites, Canowindra Creative Centre facebook pages.
There is certainly something for everyone, with a wide range of sections available to enter. Sections include:
• O – Dairy, fruit and garden
• P – Homemades and children’s cooking
• Q – Quilting & patchwork
• R – Preserves
• S- Needlework
• T- Cut Flowers
• Ta – Decorative Flowers
• U – Fine Arts
• Ua Photography
• V – Junior Art
• W – Poetry and Prose
• X – Craftwork.
Section W
This year there are new Section W definitions and rules:
• Poetry: (verse) focuses on rhythm and rhyme.
• Prose: flows in sentences and paragraphs
• Conditions of Entry: No name on front of entry, Font size 14, Narrow (1.27cm) margin accepted (21cm x 24.7cm), maximum page limit of one A4 page per entry.
• 2026 Theme: “The Annual Show”
• Entrant categories are defined as Local (within 25km of post office). 1. Age 8- 12 years; 2. Age 12-18 years; 3. Age 19-69 years; 4. Age 70 years and over. Open (over 25km from post office) 5. Any age
• Entry fees are 50c and the entry ticket is to be attached to all exhibits Category 1 and 2 are free.
