The July meeting was an interesting one with a great deal of wool brought and donated, which was shared amongst the knitters.
A special mention must go to Janette Leight, who following an operation was able to complete 14 wraps and together with our six, we were able to take 20 wraps to Orange, a record for the month.
This brings our total for this year to 76. Congratulations everyone! I would like to welcome Lesley Johnson to our group, which I am pleased to see as we are slowly creeping up in numbers. I must also thank Bev for travelling to Cowra to pick up Janette’s wraps and after sewing them together, took them to Orange. We greatly appreciate your efforts Bev.
Once again our July meeting ended with a lovely Christmas in July dinner. Thanks Tommy, for your part in making our meeting special.
That target of 100 completed wraps for this year is getting nearer.
Our next meeting will be held on 27 August from 10am-12pm, with lunch following for those who wish to stay on. Thanks to you all keep those needles working.
