Local residents embraced the dress code for Bogan Bingo at the Services Club last Saturday night.
Canowindra turned up the volume, donned their finest flannel, and laughed the night away at the Canowindra Services Club on Saturday, July 25, for a high-energy Bogan Bingo fundraiser.
Organised by Michelle Fisher in support of the Starlight Children’s Foundation, the community rallied together to raise an incredible amount of over $5,600 through ticket sales, raffles, and the 100 Club.
Adding significantly to the grand total, the Canowindra Services Club generously donated 10% of all bar sales from the evening.
The event’s massive success was also made possible by the unwavering support of local businesses and families, who provided an overwhelming array of prizes.
Special thanks go to Balloon Aloft, Montrose House, Frock On, Edellen Flowers, Canowindra Butchery, Canowindra Bowling Club, Perrenialle Plants, Lawrence’s IGA, Rosnay, Bottle Shop, alongside numerous generous individual donors including Michelle Clarke, Gail Davis, Leanne and Michael Harrison and other businesses and individuals that all contributed to making the fundraiser a success.
Bringing an event like this fundraiser to life takes a dedicated team. Michelle Fisher was ably assisted on the organisational front by Breanna Bowd, Mandy Townsend, Kim Roberts, and Tom Beath, whose hard work ensured the night ran seamlessly.
With such an enthusiastic turnout and fantastic community spirit, planning is already underway for future fundraisers.
