Canowindra Women’s Bowls

Results of 4 matches played in Consistency 29th July

1ST round – Colleen Crump defeated Moyna Rue. Diane Slattery defeated BobbieTurner.

2ND round – Sheryn O’Malveney defeated Ellen Petty. Maureen Baillie defeated Dianne Mooney.

Thanks to the markers Betty Jenkins, Radka Tatterson, Jenny Middleton and Jill Messenger.

Social Consistency was played by three bowlers. Shirley Robson won with 86, Linda Miller scored 59 and Jean Roth scored 55. The Lucky Draw was won by Linda Miller with No. 22. The teams that competed in the Playoffs of the Senior Fours and Triples at Mudgee were beaten in the final. The birthdays In July were Ellen Petty, Heather Hoad & Shirley Robson.

Canowindra Men’s Bowls

A great triples final held on Sunday with P Taylor, R Traves and D Beath against P Kennedy, R Milburn & J Bohanna.  Josh ended up winning the game 21-19. Dool didn’t seem impressed but that’s the way she goes mate! Pat Kennedy beat Terry 150-135. Ron Lynch beat Nick Delaney 154-136. Next week the number 5’s are going to Tamworth for the State pennants however N Preston will play N Knight in the consistency on Sun with N Delaney to mark.
