Canowindra Garden Club Donation:
The Canowindra Garden Club recently presented the Canowindra Hospital Auxiliary with a donation of $2,000 from proceeds of the Open Garden at Noojee Lee during the ballooning week in April. This event is held through the generosity of Mr and Mrs Charles Currin. The Hospital Auxiliary thanked the Garden Club and noted that all donations received are used to purchase equipment for the Soldiers Memorial Hospital.

We had a crowded meeting this week with15 turning up.
We extend a warm welcome to new member Janeen Wright and hope she enjoyedher first meeting.This week we sent six completed wraps to Orange bringing our total for the year to 55. Thanks to those that have donated wool; it is all being put to good use.
Just in case there are knitters who are interested but don’t know whatto do, we need 8 ply wool (acrylic) knitted into 10 inch squares. Each wrap needs 28 squares. It helps if you leave a length of wool at the beginning and the end of your square so they can be used to help sew the squares together. That is 7 rows of 4 squares. Thanks to Tommy for an enjoyable lunch as always. Our next meeting is on23 July and I hope to see a few more new members to help us reach 100 squares for this year. Keep up the good work.
