
Police will be out in force this Anzac Day long weekend.
Double Demerits: Motorists are ecouraged to drive safely and take care on the roads this Anzac Day long weekend. Double demerit points will be in place for all speeding, seatbelt, mobile phone and motorcycle helmet offences between Friday 24 April and Monday 27 April 2026 inclusive. This will be a busy period on local roads and we all have a part to play in keeping the roads safe.

2026 Community Building Partnership Grants Now Open: The Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 round is now open and will close on Friday, 8 May 2026. There will be $450,000 in grant funding available in each electoral district, totalling $41.85 million for the round. Bulky Waste Collection: Place waste out 9 – 10 May for collection from Monday, 11 May 2026. This service is available for residents that currently have a regular bin service/ waste collection service with Cabonne Council. All items should be placed neatly next to the edge of the kerb not blocking the footpath at your normal weekly collection point.
