Alison Pouliot is an ecologist, natural historian and environmental photographer who specialises in fungi and their role in healthy landscapes.
Mid Lachlan Landcare – Growing the Grazing Revolution (GGR) is hosting an afternoon with Alison Pouliot. Join them for a practical look at fungi, soils and whole farm health on Wednesday 6 May at “Garrallan”, 1128 North Logan Rd, Cowra from 12.30pm to 3.30pm,
Some of the topics to be covered will be focused on why fungi matter in soils and farming systems, how to encourage fungi on your property, the role of visible (macro) fungi and soil based microfungi.
Alison will bring together practical, experience-based learning focussed on what you can see and apply as well as a whole-system perspective on soils not just carbon or single metrics.
Before Alison’s talk GGR project officer Scott Hickman will be running a seasonal grazing meeting with discussions around our current season and decision making moving towards winter. It’s time to get planning.
Afternoon tea will be provided. Bring along a chair, mug, and an interested friend.
