Join Mid Lachlan Landcare for a fascinating evening exploring the incredible role fungi play in our gardens, soils, and local environment. Whether you’re a curious beginner or a nature enthusiast, this interactive event will open your eyes to a world you never knew existed.
Fungi are nature’s recyclers, connectors, and quiet achievers— helping keep our gardens thriving and our landscapes healthy.
Come and hear how they’re working all around us.
The evening will be led by ecologist and professional environmental photographer Alison Pouliot who has worked at the interface of the science of fungi and public education for nearly three decades. She is actively involved in teaching, research and conservation within Australia and internationally, and has written six books on fungi.
Alison especially enjoys working on the ground with farmers and land restorers.
Learn how fungi support soil health, plants, and ecosystems. There will also be a hands-on display table featuring a variety of mushrooms and fungi and the opportunity to ask questions.
Wednesday 6 May, 6.30 – 8.30pm at CJ’S Club Cowra. Secure your ticket at https://events.humanitix.com/mushrooms-up-close-a-hands-on-discovery-night
