Age Of Fishes Museum Open Day: The Age of Fishes Museum is preparing to welcome back renowned paleontologist Dr Alice Clement of Flinders University for a special Community Open Day free of charge on Thursday 16 April from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. The museum encourages anyone with interest in fossils, science or local heritage to attend and take advantage of this unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge paleontolical research in Canowindra. Visitors will also be treated to a free barbecue.
Canowindra Quiltfest – Stories In Stich: Canowindra Quilt Festival is being held from 16 – 18 April at All Saints Anglican Church, Canowindra, 9am – 5pm. The festival will not only offer a wonderful display of quilts, but will feature handmade crafts, wedding dresses, rugs and many other hand sewn items. Refreshments will be available to purchase and entry is just $7.
Toddler Parenting Group: Tresillian has offered a wonderful, free, opportunity for families within our community. The Toddler Parenting Group for children aged 18-36months will centre around what behaviour is normal and what is not. This session is being run in conjunction with the Canowindra Community Centre to provide connection to local services.

Community Partnerships Program: Transgrid has opened applications for its 2026 Round 1 Community Partnerships Program, offering grants of up to $5,000 for eligible not-for-profit organisations. Funding supports a wide range of initiatives—from community infrastructure to workshops, inclusivity and accessibility projects. Free online support sessions are also available to help organisations prepare strong applications. Applications close Sunday 3 May.
