Lucerne growers are invited an on-farm look at the latest lucerne varieties, grown and tested under real local conditions.
Join Central Tablelands Local Land Services, Eugowra Catchment Landcare and the Pasture Trials Network for an on-farm look at the latest lucerne varieties, grown and tested under real local conditions.
Hosted on a commercial producer’s property, this trial features 45 lucerne varieties across irrigated and dryland systems.
Walk the site with local experts and see first-hand which varieties are performing – and which aren’t.
This is a great opportunity to connect with others over a cuppa, compare results, and pick up practical insights to support to help you make better pasture decisions and boost your farm’s productivity.
Hear directly from agronomists and producers, with speakers on the day to include:
• David Harbison, D R Agriculture P/L
• Matt Francis, DLF Head Lucerne Breeding
• Isaac Berry, DLF Tech Services Manager and PTN Technical Working Group
• Phil Cranney, Senior Land Services Officer Pastures, Central Tablelands LLS
Come along to see how new lucerne varieties perform in mixed‑farming systems, understand establishment, persistence and production differences and learn what’s working locally and why. Participants will leave with clear, actionable advice to guide profitable future pasture options.
The Lucerne Variety Trial Walk will be held on Tuesday 31 March from 1:30pm – 3:30pm at 863-947 Waugan Road, Eugowra.
