
Canowindra Branch of the CWA of NSW
Canowindra Meetings are held on the fourth Thursday every month from 6.30pm for 7pm.
Our members volunteer in some of these activities: cooking and catering, sewing and craft, interesting guest speakers at meetings, fundraising to support the local community.
Country Women’s Association of NSW Canowindra Branch – some of the things we do:
• Hold community friendship morning teas – second Monday each month
• Lobby for improvements for women & children, the local area and for the bush
• Assist the Driver Reviver van during peak holidays
• Hire/manage the CWA hall for the Nurture Co co-working space
• Hold Crafternoons – monthly on Sundays (sewing and craft)
• Participate in the Canowindra Christmas markets
• Cater for events throughout the yearbirthdays, anniversaries
• Staff and run the Tea Rooms at the Canowindra Show in September
• Cater an “All Day Breakfast” during the annual Canowindra Balloon Challenge
• Support local school students and sporting clubs with prizes and competitions
• Volunteer at the CWA stand at the Australian National Field Days in Orange
• Interesting guest speakers at meetings
• And so much more.

Canowindra Community Cat Care
Canowindra Community Cat Care helping cat owners with cheap desexing and getting street cats fed and desexed, their kittens are caught and tamed – and loving homes found for them. Adults are difficult to rehome as they’re scared – but make excellent farm cats once desexed. Foster carers are needed and regular tip runs are required to dispose of waste.
