Live Life In Colour At The Cowra Seniors Festival 2026

11 February, 2026 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

The Cowra Seniors Festival will run from Monday 2 March to Sunday 15 March 2026.

Cowra will come alive with colour, creativity and connection this March as the NSW Seniors Festival returns with a vibrant program of events for local seniors.

Running from Monday 2 March to Sunday 15 March 2026, the Cowra Seniors Festival will offer a diverse range of free and low-cost activities, celebrating this year’s theme, ‘Live life in colour’ — encouraging seniors to embrace creativity, community and an active lifestyle.

Mayor of Cowra, Cr Paul Smith, said the Festival highlights the strength of local partnerships.

“With 15 local organisations contributing to the program, seniors will have plenty of opportunities to share, connect and enjoy an exciting fortnight of events designed just for them,” Cr Smith said.

The Festival officially kicks off with the Cowra Seniors Festival Expo on Monday 2 March at 10.30am at the Cowra Civic Centre. This free event celebrates seniors with live entertainment by Lusi Austin, giveaways, free health checks, interactive exhibits from 15 local community groups and service providers and a delicious morning tea! Highlights throughout the Festival include a cemetery history tour, craft workshops, free movie screening, heritage train rides (seniors ride free), high tea, lunchtime theatre, a senior’s luncheon, author talk, and the popular Great Annual Seniors Trivia Challenge.

Bookings are essential for most events.
