Roll Up Your Sleeves Canowindra: Got a bit of time next month? Time to give blood and change lives? 1 in 3 people in Canowindra will need blood, and they need people like you to give it. We’re rolling into town on 11 February. Don’t forget to pre-book your spot at lifeblood.com.au, on our app or on 13 14 95.

Canowindra CWA News: The Canowindra Branch of the CWA invite you to attend their next monthly meeting on Thursday 22 January, 6pm at the CWA Hall in Blatchford Street. New members are always welcome. Plus the first CWA Crafternoon for 2026 will be beld on Sunday 25 January from 1pm at the hall. There is no cost and anyone can attend.

Cowra Family Support: Cowra Family Support will now be in Canowindra every Thursday starting today, 22 January at the CWA Hall in Blatchford St. The service helps families build strong relationships and care for their children by building on strengths and providing information, skills and early help when needed. This is a free service available to the community. For more information call Nat 0457 440 119 or go to www.cinc.org.au.

Save The Date: Brian Wehlburg will be running a field day with Mid Lachlan Landcare as part of their Growing the Grazing Revolution project on 12 February in the Mid Lachlan region. Exact venue, times and further details to be announced soon.

Summer Water Safety Reminder: After a series of drownings this summer holiday, the Shadow Minister for Police Paul Toole and Shadow Minister for Water Steph Cooke are reminding everyone to take extra care around our waterways. Whether it be a trip to the beach, dam or river, the community is encouraged to always wear a lifejacket, don’t drink and drive, adhere to speed limits and passenger limits, and check all equipment and vessels before departing.

CRAG: Head along to the Cowra Regional Art Gallery to view two great exhibitions before they end on 1 February. A Poem of the Sea is Sally Simpson’s exploration, through the metaphor of water, of humanity’s relationship with the natural world. The Night Passes is a solo exhibition by Fiona Davies that parallels walking in the apparent emptiness of the hospital corridor at night with driving to and from the hospital on a small, dark country road.
