Men’s Bowls

3 December, 2025 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

At the weekend our bowling members preformed well in the senior and reserve singles matches.

In the games in Canowindra Barney progressed to the semifinals after two wins on Saturday and unfortunately lost to T Bright on Sunday.

The players at Forbes went well with a narrow loss for Greg, Jamie S and Jamie G. Eryn won her first game and lost her second in the wind and rain. Thanks for all the players for entering in these zones events.

In the mixed pairs, Michael and Penny had a good win over Dool and Leanne. The final will be played on Wednesday 3 December.

In consistency Ben had a comfortable win over Dool 150/100, Ben now plays Tot on Tuesday 2nd December.

The fours match had to postponed for a fortnight.

There are no games scheduled this coming weekend due to other commitments.

Social bowls are available on Saturday and Sunday as many players are off to support the Gooloogong fun day.

It was a great night for our major jackpot draws, thanks to our members and guests for supporting the club.

Hams are starting on Friday 5 December along with our regular meat trays.

We have the same format for Sunday and as a bonus, we are raffling a ham on Wednesday night commencing 10 December.

This week’s badge draws are Wednesday $150, Friday $1,300 and Sunday $200.
