Canowindra came alive with music and creativity over the weekend as Natural Progression’s artist management team, hosted a special Songwriters Retreat at Eddys of Canowindra. The event brought together emerging songwriters and performers from across New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria for a weekend of collaboration, mentorship, and inspiration.
Participants were paired with four highly experienced industry mentors, including Canowindra’s own Nerida Cuddy, who guided them through the songwriting process, helping to shape original works that captured the heart and soul of the weekend. The result was a collection of remarkable new songs that will be recorded and released to the public in the coming months.
The retreat proved to be an outstanding success, providing invaluable learning experiences, fostering new creative partnerships, and highlighting the depth of musical talent within the Australian music scene.
Organisers Cam McKenzie and Kim Roberts expressed their delight at the weekend’s outcome and confirmed that plans are already underway to make next year’s retreat even bigger and better.
