October: A Busy Month At Moyne

12 November, 2025 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Kate and Ros enjoyed Melbourne Cup day.

The month of October at Roshana Moyne Aged Care was undoubtedly the busiest month this year. From picnics beside the Swinging Bridge, to fundraising events, wheelie wash day, football tipping party, spring fling party, cashing in the recycling in Cowra, happy hours, outdoor barbeques to Halloween, all residents are very happily exhausted.

Added to this busy social calendar were the regular activities such as bingo, juke box jives, hoi, games and so many others.

The residents of Moyne would like to thank the children who came to visit them for Halloween. The residents took great joy in scaring you all before handing out treats.

Melbourne Cup was an outstanding success, with so many happy people. The champagne and canapes were a-plenty and the sweeps were a big hit with everyone. Bob Robson stated, “This was such a wonderful event. It is just like being able to celebrate the Cup at home.”

Melissa Delaney, Lifestyle Services Coordinator said, “We just want to say thank you to all of the Moyne families and friends who join in with the fun and friendship with our residents.”
