There was plenty of action on the greens for the annual Canowindra Women’s Bowls President’s Day.
Canowindra Women’s Bowls President’s Day was very well attended and enjoyed by all on Tuesday 21 October. Visiting teams came form Magellan, Orange Ex-Services, Molong, Millthorpe, Cowra, Forbes, Manildra and two teams from Orange City Bowling Club. Together with five teams from Canowindra, it was a full green.
The day started with a spider bowl which was a spectacular sight and won by Christine Pickard. Winners of the day were the girls from Millthorpe with a Canowindra team as runners-up.
Following our games we all enjoyed social time and a delicious luncheon catered for by our Canowindra ladies. Thank you so much so all those who helped. Raffles, 100 club and lucky doors prizes saw a lot of prizes taken home.
