Pink Spring Picnic Raises Over $5,000 For Local Cancer Support

22 October, 2025 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Last Sunday was a perfect day for the Pink Spring Picnic.

The 2025 Canowindra Pink Spring Picnic Fundraiser was held on Sunday, 19 October at the magnificent Noojee Lea Homestead, with more than 90 people gathering for a heartwarming day of food, music, and community connection, all in support of local families facing cancer.

Thanks to the generosity of attendees, over $5,000 was raised for the McGrath Foundation and Can Assist Orange, two organisations offering vital care and support to those affected by cancer.

“It was a truly special day,” said organiser Emma Millward. “We’re so grateful for everyone who came, donated, dressed in pink, and helped make a real difference.”

Guests praised the event’s setting and purpose. Cindy Walker shared, “What a beautiful afternoon. Thank you to all the work you have all put in to make this happen. The McGrath nurses are such an important part of the breast cancer journey.”

A big thank you to all of the raffle prize donors whose generosity made the day even more special. Special thanks also to the Curran Family, Kathryn Spice, Lusi Austin, The Shared Table, Sue Hodge Art, Emma Roots, and Megan Milton of Edellen Flowers for your support.
