On Sunday, 5 October, Canowindra Golf Club hosted its October Medal, an 18-hole stroke event proudly sponsored by Paul and Cheryl McKenzie. The club extends its appreciation to Paul and Cheryl for their continued generosity and support of local golf.
The day produced some impressive golf, with Richard Fitzgerald winning after an outstanding round. John Bruton finished second with a strong performance. Congratulations to both players on their excellent efforts.
Looking ahead, next Sunday, 12 October, the club will host an 18-hole Two Person Ambrose (Medley) for the annual Chris Weaver Memorial Day. Chris was a great supporter of the club, and members are encouraged to come along and enjoy a great day of golf in his honour. Sponsors for the day are Max Haley, Des McDonald, and Charles and Kylie Lawrence.
Another enjoyable week of golf is expected at Canowindra Golf Club, and all players are welcome to take part.
