Lifeline Central West will be holding conversations in Cabonne to help guide future programs, services and support.
Lifeline Central West invites Cabonne residents to a face-to-face, 90-minute conversation dedicated to exploring how drought affects individuals, families and communities—and what will help them prepare for the next one.
They’re running small, 8–12-person conversations in each of the five Central West Local Government Areas of Cabonne, Blayney, Cowra, Orange and Weddin, to hear what really matters to you. Your insights will guide future local programs, services and support that are built for rural life, not copied from the city.
Why attend? Your voice matters, share real experiences and priorities to inform decisions that affect your town. Sessions will be tailored to Cabonne and even Canowindra, so they capture what’s unique about where you live.
Small groups will be capped at 12 people to allow for real talk and a relaxed, open discussion. Each session will run for 90 minutes, are free to attend, with light refreshments supplied. Every participant enters the draw for a chnace to win one of five $100 digital gift cards.
The sessions are open to Cabonne residents aged 18+ and young people aged 16–17 are also welcome to paricipate with a signed parent/guardian consent form.
The sessions will be facilitated by Lifeline Central West trauma-informed staff who guide the conversation. Sessions are confidential and respectful and will also be audio-recorded so nothing is missed; all comments are de-identified. Accessible transport or venue support is available on request.
