Free Webinars To Help Central West Artists And Arts And Cultural Businesses Tap Into Tourism Opportunities

27 August, 2025 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Regional NSW artists and businesses are invited to boost visibility through ATDW.

“Visitors to the NSW Central West are seeking authentic, engaging experiences that offer a real connection with local communities – and arts and culture are uniquely placed to deliver just that,” said Arts Out West’s Maryanne Jaques.

The Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) is Australia’s central digital platform for tourism – and a great, free way for artists, cultural venues and creative businesses to ensure visitors can find them.

“The 2024 Regional NSW Cultural Tourism Report revealed that up to 78% of arts and cultural activity in the NSW Central West is currently missing from ATDW listings,” Ms Jaques said.

A free webinar on Wednesday 10 September will help creatives understand and make the most of ATDW.

By listing on ATDW, events, venues and experiences can be seen on major tourism platforms like VisitNSW.com, Orange360, Visit Mudgee Region, Big4, and more—amplifying your reach and supporting regional tourism growth.

“Whether your target audience is local or it’s international, whether it’s one-off events, bookable experiences, public workshops, regular venues, museums, galleries or ‘attractions’, even public art – if it needs to attract visitors, it can probably be listed on ATDW,” Ms Jaques said.

The webinars will are presented By Nicole Thomas, Customer Success Lead at ATDW, will lead both sessions. With a deep understanding of the platform and how to maximise its benefits, Nicole will provide practical, easy-to-follow guidance tailored for the creative sector.
