Sharon And Slava Grigoryan Set To Delight Classical Music Lovers

13 August, 2025 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Sharon And Slava Grigoryan will be performing at Rosnay Cellar Door on Wednesday, 27 August.

Rosnay Cellar Door are set to deliver yet another impressive concert that will delight local lovers of classical music, with the acclaimed musical duo of Sharon Grigoryan, a cellist, and Slava Grigoryan, a classical guitar virtuoso performing in Canowindra on Wednesday 27 August at 7pm.

The success of any collaboration is dependant on a myriad of factors, some obvious, others less tangible. Sharon and Slava Grigoryan are an example of such a synergy, resulting in music that connects deeply with the listener. Perhaps it is their union professionally and in life that provides the intangible factor fuelling their passionate and sensitive performances.

Their repertoire spans cultures, generations and genres – from standard works for guitar and cello (Vivaldi, Granados, Piazzolla) to creations by contemporary composers, their own compositions and arrangements which shine a new light on familiar favourites.

Slava Grigoryan is an acknowledged guitar master on the world stage. Sharon Grigoryan has forged a formidable career throughout Australia performing with all major symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles, including her seven-year tenure with the Australian String Quartet.

Sharon and Slava Grigoryan’s debut album ‘Our Place’ (ABC) was nominated for Best Classical Album at the 2020 ARIA Awards.

Tickets cost $45 and can be booked online at rosnay.com.au
