Destination Central West (DNCW) is strengthening its commitment to the region’s tourism industry through a targeted restructure that prioritises product development, innovation, and strategic engagement.
In response to the evolving needs of tourism businesses across the region, DNCW is transitioning from two territory-based Industry Support Manager roles to a new structure comprising two specialised roles:
Industry Development Manager and Industry Engagement Manager. This refined structure brings sharper focus and greater capacity to support industry development and stakeholder engagement across the Central West.
DNCW is pleased to announce that Kate Catterson will transition into the newly created Industry Engagement Manager position. This role will be responsible for stakeholder engagement, onboarding new operators, distributing market insights, and ensuring clear communication of Destination NSW programs and opportunities.
At the same time, DNCW is now actively recruiting for an Industry Development Manager, a high-impact role that will lead the region’s efforts to design, develop, and bring to market compelling tourism products and experiences. Working closely with the General Manager, this role will oversee the delivery of a specialised product and experience development program, an inbound pathway program, and an alwayson business support framework.

The new Industry Development Manager will work directly with businesses to develop trade and export-ready experiences, support innovation across key sectors such as agritourism and events, and lead DNCW’s Best of Central West product enrichment program.
