The new Rosmary and Thyme Cafe has been welcomed by residents of Moyne Roshana Care.
Last week the Rosmary and Thyme Cafe officially opened at Moyne Roshana Care, after many months of planning. Situated in the main dining room, the cafe has been enthusiastically welcomed by residents, staff and visitors alike.
The aroma of freshly brewed coffee now fills the hallways of Moyne Roshana Care each morning, along with the scent of fresh pies and sausage rolls in the warmer.
Melissa Delaney, Lifestyle Services Coordinator said, “We opened with free coffee and cakes for residents and staff on the first day – which was very welcomed by all.”
Initially, the coffee shop will be open Monday to Friday from 9am – 3pm, with the hope of opening it on weekends soon.
“Thanks so much to Holly for jumping in to make the coffee’s for the first week. Danielle is now our barista Monday to Friday, so next time you are at Moyne, why not pop into the coffee shop and grab yourself a cuppa and some goodies,” said Melissa.
Resident Julie McCabe was the first official customer on day two, and Bev McCloskey has loved being able to attend the coffee shop with her friends.
The residents of Moyne are looking forward to sharing some time with you over a good cuppa. You are welcome to use any of the common and garden areas to enjoy your morning or afternoon tea. Coffees are just $5, and they also served tea, milkshakes and delicious treats.
