Last Wednesday 2 July, Dorothy and Harold Balcomb celebrated an incredible 70 years of marriage.
Dorothy was a teacher for many years at Canowindra High School and was a very active member of the Toogong and Canowindra community. She was one of the founding members of the Canowindra Historical Society and has written many local history books.
Harold was a farmer at Toogong until he was 80 years old and was heavily involved in farmer politics and the wheat board. He was president of the Cudal show committee for many years and was also involved in the Canowindra show.
They are both now aged 98 and live in Orange. They have three children, Ian, Andrew and Anne and four grandchildren Rosie, Jenny, Alden and Andy.
