Glossy Black Cockatoo Project Planting: Mid Lachlan Landcare will be planting the Glossy’s favoured feed trees (She Oaks) plus complimentary understory species and nesting trees between Conimbla and Nangar National Parks to boost habitat connectivity and enhance feeding opportunities across the corridoor. There are still places availabe for the planting day to be held Saturday 19th July on the Nangar road from 10am – 1pm. Canowindra Swap Meet And Market Stalls: The popular annual Canowindra Swap Meet will return on 3 August at the Canowindra Showground. Gates will open from 5:30am – 6am for swappers and at 6:30am for the public with an entry fee of $5. The annual swap meet is the biggest fundraiser the Canowindra Pony Club holds, with the proceeds going directly to the running costs for the club. Stall bookings are now open. Outdoor sites are 10m x 8m and cost $10 or $20 for a powered site and 8m x 6m indoor sites are available for $15 plus $10 for power. Camping is available for $15.
