Stork News: Anthony and Bianca Howard welcomed their third son, Jaxon Oscar Howard on Friday, 28 March at Cowra Hospital, weighing 3.74kg. Big brothers Riley (5) and Cody (3) are super excited to have another playmate! Proud grandparents are Kim and Garry Amos of Cowra, Rick Howard of Whitton and Ronnie Peacock of Finley. Congratulation to the new family of five.

Tick, Tock – It’s A New Clock: Canowindra residents will now be certain to run on time, following the installation of a new town clock outside the Canowindra Pharmacy in Gaskill Street. The installation of the clock was co-ordinated by the Canowindra Lions Club in conjunction with Canowindra Progress Association and the Town Enhancement Fund.
Daylight Saving: Daylight saving ends this Sunday, 6 April. Don’t forget to turn your clocks backwards by one hour. It is also a great time to check the batteries in your smoke detectors, ready for winter.
Happy Birthday: A large crowd of well wishers gathered at Perennialle Cafe last Saturday to celebrate the 98th birthday of Canowindra’s historian emeritus and author of many of the Historical Society’s books and articles about our local history, Dorothy Balcomb. Highlights included the cutting and consumption of a very special cake baked by Perennialle’s Nerida Cuddy and the singing of “Happy Birthday” to the wonderful tone of the grand piano.
