I hope everyone had a happy Christmas and with the new year ahead we look forward to meeting with our knitters on 27 February.
Once again we will meet at Montrose House at 10:00am and knit, chat, have morning tea and enjoy each other’s company until 12:00pm. If you wish to stay for a light lunch, everyone is welcome and I know whatever Tommy Jeffs serves up will be delicious.
Knitters are asked to bring along 8 ply acrylic wool and size 4 needles and you’ll fit in with our hard working group.
What we require is 28 x 25cm squares, and if you cannot sew them together that can be organised for you.
Our rugs are sent to Orange and from there they are forwarded to the head quarters in Sydney where they are distributed to places where there are people suffering from war, flood, fire, earthquakes or other disasters, that need the comfort and warmth of a colourful wrap.
Last year we managed 77 wraps. Can we pass this record in 2025? So if you knit or crochet and have a couple of hours on the fourth Thursday of each month from February to November, please come along and join in, you will be most welcome.
Hope to see you
