What a great weekend of bowls at the Canowindra Bowls Club. Full greens on both days was amazing for our little club.
Before we get onto the bowl’s results we must thank all the sponsors in our great community. This sponsorship makes it possible to attract bowlers from around the region. Congratulations to the catering staff who provided excellent service over both days of competition on the weekend, they received great comments from all the bowlers and guests.
Our bar staff also did a marvelous job serving our competitors and guests over the weekend, thanks so much for your great service. Thanks also to our raffle ticket sellers who excelled in the efforts, Susanna, Kayleen, Vic and Ellie.
Now to our champion bowlers – On Saturday the winners were a team from Grenfell, Andrew, Gavin and Steve who defeated another Grenfell team Blake, Barry and James in a close match.
The winners of the Ron Worboys Memorial Pairs was a team from Orange City, Ash and Adam who narrowly defeated another team from Orange City, Bernie and Sam, having to play an extra to determine the winner.
