Celebrate Australia Day in Canowindra at a variety of local venues.
The official Cabonne Council Australia Day activities in Canowindra will be held at 1:30pm in the Community Hall at the Canowindra Services Club.
The program for the ceremony will be as follows:
• Welcome and introduction of official guests: Master of Ceremonies, Councillor Jenny Weaver.
• Acknowledgement of Country: Leanne Stephens.
• Australia Day Prayer: Robert Byrnes.
• Australia Day Address: Senior Constable Michael Rodham
• Presentation of Australia Day Awards: To be presented by Senior Constable Michael Rodham
• Cutting the Australia Day Cake: By the recipients of the Australia Day Awards.
• Australian National Anthem
Following the official ceremony, stay on at the Services Club for activities and entertainment throughout the afternoon and evening.
