Ladies Golf

Wednesday, 23rd October was a Stroke Event, with the following results:

• A Grade Winner: Roz Partridge, 79 nett

• B Grade Winner: Collette Armstrong, 73 nett

• Ball Sweep Winners: Helen K and Julie Fairley

• Wheel Winner: ColletteWednesday, 30th October was a Canadian Foursome, with the following results:

• Winners: Cate Loud and Helen McSpad­den, 77.13 nett

• Ball Sweep Winners: Annette Thomas and Helen K.

• Lucky Wheel Winner: Maureen Law­renceNext week is Ladies Day with a stroke event featuring Scratch, Nett, and Stabl­eford prizes. As we approach the end of our yearly events for 2024, remember that Presentation Day is on 20th November.

A lunch for that day will be organised this coming week.

Mens Golf

Last weekend, the men played their third and fourth rounds of the club champion­ships. On Saturday, Richard Fitzgerald took the top spot with an impressive Nett 61, followed by John Bruton at Nett 68, who edged out Tony Beath on countback.

On Sunday, Len Hamilton claimed both the daily and monthly medal with a strong Nett 65, while Barry Rue finished as run­ner-up with Nett 67.

The four-round grade winners were Doug Flannery in A grade, Tony Beath in B grade, and Mark (Blue) Wren in C grade.

Congratulations to all the winners!Looking ahead, this Saturday, 9th Novem­ber is the Wild Sows Wings4Kidz Charity Golf Day. It will be a 4-person Medley Am­brose Day, with lunch at 11am followed by golf. Entry is $50 per person which includes golf, lunch and a stubby holder. There will be great prizes up for grabs on the day.

Come along and join us for a fun, social day and support The Wild Sows as they gear up for their 800km Postie Bike Ride, helping Wings4Kidz transport seriously ill children to vital medical appointments.
