Free CPR & AED Info Sessions

6 November, 2024 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Greg Page will be running a free CPR & AED Info Session in Canowindra next Wednesday, 13th November.

Parts of the Central West have extremely high rates of cardiac arrest, but unfortunately also very low rates of bystander CPR.

This means the Central West is at greater risk of higher mortality rates when someone’s heart suddenly stops – but together, we can change that.

Heart of the Nation and the Heart Foundation are helping our community combat this critical health issue by placing more AEDs in the region, and providing free education on how to use them.

Join Original Yellow Wiggle and sudden cardiac arrest survivor, Greg Page in Canowindra on Wednesday 13th November for a free community education session where he will show you how to stay ready, confident, and capable. In just 60-90 minutes, you’ll be equipped with the skills to CALL PUSH SHOCK so you can step up and help a family member, friend, neighbour, or even a stranger when it matters most.

You’ve seen those bright yellow cabinets popping up around our local area. Do you know what’s inside? What’s inside has the power to help save lives. These AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) are here to help you complete the Chain of Survival in a sudden cardiac arrest.

But having the necessary tools available is only half the story. Let’s make sure we all know how to use them, to help the people in our community when they need it most.

The free CPR and AED info session will be held at the Canowindra Services Club on Wednesday, 13th November from 10am to 11.30am. You can register online at https://ticketing.humanitix.com/tours/stay-ready-help-save-lives-with-call-push-shock
