Donna has an impressive resume, being awarded an Order of Australia Medal for her work in science, particularly Astronomy, in the King’s Birthday honours, and featured in RM Williams magazine 20 Great Outback Australians. Though her most remarkable accomplishment was discovering a comet in 2016 and then again in 2017.
She is a highly qualified individual, with credentials in the fields of computing, mathematics, astronomy and physics. Her educational journey culminated with her achieving both an MSc Research-Astrophysics degree and undertaking a PhD Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Southern Queensland.
As a special highlight of Canowindra’s Spring Fling weekend from 24th – 26th October, Donna the Astonomer will lead an insightful and awe-inspiring session under the stars, providing fascinating insights into the night sky.
