It’s Showtime! Don’t miss all of the fun of the 2024 Canowindra Show this weekend. Gates open Friday 27th 4pm – 10pm and Saturday 28th September from 10am.
Ticket purchases are available at the gate only, with cash or Eftpos available. Ticket prices are: family pass $30 for two days (2 x adults and 2 x school aged children), adult pass $15 per day, child and aged pensioner $5 per day.
Canowindra New Parents Group: Register now for a four week group run by the Child and Family Health Nurse for parents with a new baby. The first group will include babies under 12 month of age and will begin on Thursday 24th October, 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Canowindra Community Health Conference Room, Ryall Street.
Then continuing for four weeks. It is free of charge. To Register attendance please call 6364 4350.
Local Sport Defibrillator Grant Program: The Local Sport Defibrillator Grant Program is aimed at providing Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and associated equipment to NSW sport and recreation facilities and clubs. The NSW Government is providing up to $500,000 in funding to eligible sporting clubs and facility owners in 2024/25 with grants up to $3,000 available.
Funding is open to applicants within the bottom five Socio-Economic Indexes for Areas (SEIFA) as ranked by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, of which Cabonne Shire qualify. The program is currently open and closes upon funding allocation being exhausted or by 1pm on 27th November 2024, whichever is earlier. Applications will be assessed in the order they are received. Due to the high demand on this Program, it is likely that the funding will be exhausted prior to the closing date.

Crafternoon: Head along to the CWA Hall this Sunday 29th September from 1pm.
Enjoy the company of others while working on your own craft – be it knitting, crocheting, sewing or embroidery. Afternoon tea will be available, all are welcome. No cost to attend, just a donation.
