Men’s Bowls

11 September, 2024 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

The final of the major triples was played last weekend and in the early part of the match there wasn’t much in the scores. Brent and Phil Lees and Brad Bourke then stamped their authority on the match going on for a comfortable victory over David Crowe, Jamie Stewart and Mitch McAllister. Well done to David for having new bowlers in his team and making the final, good effort from Jamie and Mitch to make the final in their first year of competition.

Good luck to travelling bowlers at Grenfell this weekend.

Competition bowls this weekend are:

• Saturday 14th September, 12pm O’Brien Cup: Ben and Tony versus Brad and Sparky.

• Sunday 15th September, 12pm Consistency Singles: Ben versus Fool, marker Tont T.

Badge draws this week are Wednesday $300, Friday $600 and Sunday $100.

Bowls attire orders are at the club, if you ordered bowls wear please collect and pay as soon as possible. Also a reminder for all bowlers please pay your membership subs if you haven’t done so already thank you.

The AGM is set for 13th October 2024 at 1pm.
