King of Christmas

To the Editor,

In the recent copy of the Canowindra Phoe­nix, you have given Tommy Jeffs the title of “King of Christmas”.

Comment: Tommy Jeffs has been and is a great blessing to Canowindra. In support­ing causes, he has been and still is a great help to many people. We owe him a great debt of gratitude for his generosity.

However, to me as a Christian, there is only one “King of Christmas” – That is, Je­sus the King of Kings. At Christmas we cel­ebrate His birth (God becoming man).

We should give our personal and corpo­rate thanks to Tommy for his great contri­bution to our town, but please let us keep the title “King of Christmas” for the “King of Kings”.
