On Wednesday 29th May, Canowindra High School held their annual cross country carnival. Students were provided with the opportunity of competitive running at the Canowindra Golf Club, or a fun run at the oval.
With great weather on hand 27 students elected to test their cardiovascular endurance, and score big points for their house at the competitive event.
Non-competitive runners were greeted with motivational music and physical challenges along the course such as archery, crossbar challenge, frisbee golf, bean bag target throwing, circus skills and a 40m dash. The fun run laps were added to the overall cross-country house points.
Congratulations to Gardiner for taking out the fun run on 125 Laps. Some stu dents will now compete at Western Area Cross Country at Gosling Creek in Orange.
